AWT + Toskani Skin Rejuvenation

Combining Acoustic Wave Therapy (AWT) with the complex nutrients and peptides found in Toskani facial serums and/or with Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP), creates a synergistic treatment that significantly amplifies non-surgical skin rejuvenation. While AWT mechanically stimulates the skin to build a healthy foundation, Toskani serums and PRP supply the raw biological materials needed to accelerate cellular repair.

Key Benefits of the Combination

  • Supercharged Collagen Production: AWT’s mechanical sound waves signal the body to create collagen, while nutrients and growth factors multiply that cellular response for firmer, plumper skin.
  • Accelerated Cellular Healing: Preclinical data shows that the combination of shockwaves with nutrients and growth factors triggers a higher, faster release of healing proteins than using either treatment alone.
  • Enhanced Radiance and Texture: By pairing deep vascular remodeling from the acoustic waves with the superficial re-epithelialization of nutrients and growth factors, the skin sheds dullness, reduces pore size, and minimizes wrinkles. [1, 2]

A Typical 6-Week Combination Program

  • Week 1 - AWT priming: A standalone acoustic wave therapy session that increases blood flow and cellular permeability to prime the tissue.
  • Weeks 2-5 - Synergy sessions: AWT immediately followed by Microchanneling of the targeted product. A Toskani serum is typically applied with each synergy session; PRP is optional and is typically introduced once mid-cycle (a second PRP session can be added about four weeks later for advanced aging).
  • Week 6 - Final evaluation and follow-up: Assessment of skin texture, volume, and contour improvements.

Key frequency rules: AWT is scheduled once per week; a Toskani serum is applied with each synergy session; PRP can be administered once during the initial cycle.

What to Expect After a Synergy Session

During the first 48 hours, downtime is minimal but your skin will undergo a distinct healing phase:

  • Hours 1-4 (the flushed phase): Your skin will look and feel like a moderate sunburn - red, tight, and warm. This is a normal inflammatory response to the AWT circulation boost and the micro-channels.
  • Hours 4-24 (the setting phase): Redness fades to light pink. You may see tiny pinpoint dots or mild swelling where product was introduced.
  • Hours 24-48 (the recovery phase): Most pinkness resolves. Skin may feel slightly rough or dry as the top layers turn over.

Critical Post-Treatment Care

  • Do not wash for 12 hours: Allow the remaining growth factors to absorb. When you do wash, use only lukewarm water and a gentle, soap-free cleanser.
  • Skip the makeup: Avoid foundation, powder, and makeup brushes for at least 24 hours to keep bacteria out of the open micro-channels.
  • Avoid anti-inflammatories: Do not take ibuprofen or aspirin or ice the area - the treatment relies on your body’s natural inflammatory cascade.
  • Strict sun protection: Skin will be photosensitive; wear a broad-spectrum, mineral (zinc oxide) sunscreen and a wide-brimmed hat outdoors.

Ingredients to Avoid (48-hour window)

Retinoids and retinols, alpha/beta hydroxy acids (glycolic, lactic, salicylic), pure Vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid), and artificial fragrances or heavy preservatives - all can irritate newly primed skin.

Safe Ingredients to Use Instead

Hyaluronic acid (to lock in moisture), ceramides (to rebuild the skin barrier), and zinc oxide (the safe physical sunscreen option).
